The walled city of Chester on the River Dee on the Cheshire/Wales border, started life as a Roman fortress built to repel the Welsh tribes after the 20th Roman Legion’s defeat of Boadicea.

This new tour explores that belt of Central England to the north of London, stretching from the Cotswolds to Constable Country in East Anglia from Oxfordshire to Essex.

We have slightly reworked our return to the South West of England for 2013, taking in not only Devon and Cornwall, but Dorset as well.

Llandudno's location on the North Wales coast makes it an ideal base from which to explore this beautiful part of Britain. Visits include Caernarfon, Portmadog and the Blaenau Ffestiniog Raiway.

The 4* St George's Hotel is an excellent base to explore not only Llandudno but the city of Chester, Caernarfon & Betws-y-Coed. We also take a ride on one of the Great Little Trains of Wales.

Our itinerary includes a full day exploring the Midsomer Murder villages and a day in Wind-in-the-Willows territory between Henleyon- Thames and Windsor.
