Continental Europe

The European programme ranges from 5 to 12 days. New tours include In the Footsteps of Luther, Germany's Baltic coast, France's Champagne region & Dordogne Valley, Italy's Dolomites & Adriatic Coast, Switzerland's Alps, Holland's Dahlias and a Luxembourg Christmas. We return to both the Basque country and Poland but this time by air and coach.

This year our tour to Austria, as well as exploring the Alps, explores more of the state of Salzburg and a taste of what it has to offer.

With this two-centred tour we take in some of the most spectacular of scenery and base ourselves at the very heart of the the Black Forest.

The Black Forest is arguably Germany’s most popular holiday destination.

Cologne’s majestic cathedral dominates the skyline of this historic city. For 2016 we also visit Dusseldorf’s market, one of the most beautiful in Germany.

Copenhagen is the capital city of Denmark, one of Europe's smallest countries, and is spread across a number of islands. From our base we visit Sweden and explore some of the fine heritage of this country.

We are pleased to offer you the opportunity to go camping as a family to the Camping la Croix du Vieux Pont, a fantastic tranquil parkland site, situated just an hour to the north of Paris.

Valkenburg is a unique Dutch city with cobblestone streets with twinkling lights reflecting off the soft marlstone walls of the fascinating ‘velvet caves’.

This new tour to Holland takes in some Dutch classics and some hidden gems.

Valkenburg in the Netherlands shares a border with Belgium and Germany, which gives us the opportunity to highlight the different characteristics and attractions of the region.

This two-centred tour first of all explores Italy’s second largest lake, Lake Maggiore, before crossing through to the Austrian Tyrol with its spectacular scenery.

The Loire is France’s longest river with a course of over 600 miles from its source to the Atlantic coast.

Luxembourg is without question one of the most beautiful countries in Europe and ideal for any festive holiday.

The Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, a constitutional monarchy, is an independent sovereign state tucked between Belgium, France and Germany - we visit all three!

We visit places such as Tyne Cot Cemetery, Sanctuary Wood and the Ulster Tower to name a few, and of course we shall observe the Last Post at Menin Gate in Ypres.

The ‘Rhine Ablaze’ is a spectacular fireworks festival that takes place along the most scenic stretches of the Rhine valley each year.

Discover the beautiful and scenic Flemish coast, stretching for 42 miles and home to 13 resorts, each with its own character and unique atmosphere.

The charming town of Meiringen in the heart of the Swiss Alps, is a perfect base from where to explore the surrounding region which is filled with interesting towns, villages and mountain railways.

The snow-capped peaks of the awe-inspiring Dolomites offer pretty Italian villages with a Tyrolean feel.

Italy’s Lake Maggiore lies amidst an enchanting landscape of Alpine peaks, luxuriant vegetation, style and elegance.

The Rhine and Moselle Valleys offer much to the traveller with spectacular scenery and a warm welcome.

We return to Flanders once again this year to commemorate Armistice Day.
