The 1st decade of the 21st century has seen Northern Ireland
emerge as one of Europe's most popular short-break
destinations, with Belfast as a must see city.
The second decade holds even more promise - 2012 is a very
special year with with the opening of the spectacular,
£80 millon Titanic Centre commemorating the maiden voyage
and later tragic loss of the famous ship - built in Belfast 100
years ago this year.
In July, Ireland's most celebrated attraction, the Giant's
Causeway, on the beautiful Antrim Coast, throw's open the doors
of its new, state-of-the-art centre, to add to the experience
of a visit to one of the wonders of the natural world. And
meanwhile, further along the north coast, the historic Walls of
Derry/Londonderry prepares for its role as European City of
Culture in 2013.
