The popular Scottish Borders town has become known
to regulars and staff as the "Peebles Hydro Tour" - By the same
token this new tour, based in Pitlochry can become the "Atholl
Palace Tour".
Atholl Palace was opened in 1878, like Peebles, as a 'centre
for healing and restoration'. Originally called the Atole
Hydropathic, it was later transformed into the Atholl Palace
Hotel and now, 130 years further on, a "Luxury Hotel for all
Seasons". The historic nature of the spectacular building means
that every room has its own distinct character. However, the
truly outstanding feature of all the rooms is the view across
the wooded valleys and the charming Highland town below.
Pitlochry, like Peebles, is a town on the banks of a famous
salmon fishing river. There are streets of sturdy stone
Victorian buildings with lots of interesting shops, restaurants
and pubs. It too offers access to a beautiful part of Scotland
in this case "the Gateway to the Highlands".
We offer 3 departure dates at very different times of the
year - Easter, high Summer and Autumn (Easter over a long
weekend, Summer and Autumn both mid week Monday to Friday all 5
days).
