Fortwilliam, in the shadow of Ben Nevis is the capital of the Western Highlands and our ideal base from which to explore one of Scotland's most celebrated regions. From here we board the famous Jacobite Steam train to follow the Road to the Isles, passing the lonesome statue of Bonnie Prince Charlie's Highlander at Glenfinnan enroute. We take the spectacular road bridge over the sea to Skye, calling at Eilean Donan Castle on the way before we are ferried out to the Isle of Mull, where we spend a little time free in pretty Tobermory.
