The counties of Lincolnshire, Cambridgeshire and Essex form
a north-south line between the Wash and London. To the east
lies Norfolk and Suffolk, the heart of the ancient kingdom of
East Anglia, an unspoiled region with a distinctly rural
character, landscape, architecture and set of traditions.
Norfolk, Suffolk and Essex together cover an area about the
same size as the counties of Cork and Kerry and only slightly
smaller than Northern Ireland.
