Cornwall is England's most southerly county - a long
narrow peninsula jutting out between the blustery Atlantic to
the north and the much calmer English
Channel to the south.
Our hotel is located on the southern shore, looking out over
Gyllyngvase blue flag beach and Falmouth Bay. You could be
easily forgiven for wanting to put down roots here
for a week, with excellent hotel leisure facilities,
restaurants, bar and adjacent beach, all just a walk from the
town centre, but Cornwall beckons...
We explore at leisure, visiting Penzance and St Michael's
Mount, the Lost Gardens of Helegan, nearby Mevagissey along the
south coast andthe artists colony of St Ives, home of the Tate
Gallery In the West and out where the Channel meets the
Atlantic at the very south west tip of Britain - Land's
End.
