Copenhagen's high quality of life is internationally recognised. It is an environmentally friendly city where over a third of its citizens regularly cycle to work. However, while they undoubtedly enjoy a very modern, high-tech lifestyle, they still value their rich heritage with, for example, the world's oldest monarchy. An old quotation, slightly altered is often heard "There is something 'modern' in the State of Denmark" In fact if Carlsberg did cities, they would surely do Copenhagen!
