There is no better location from which to get a real flavour of the Scottish Highlands than the charming town of Grantown-on-Spey on the banks of a famous
salmon fishing river on the Whisky Trail in the Cairngorm National Park.

Our hotel on the edge of the town is very much a part of that Highland life; its architecture, décor, menu, range of malt whiskies and photographs of local characters all reflect its surroundings.

This new series of tours based at the Craiglynne Hotel gives us the opportunity to sample Highland life at different times of the year with visits in autumn, a
beautiful time when the surrounding ancient woodlands are changing colour; spring, when it is bursting back into life; at Christmas, with real reindeer to pull the sleigh; and perhaps most memorably, when we join in their famous Highland Hogmanay celebrations.
