Nidd Hall is an impressive baronial hall, set in 45 acres of
Victorian gardens, just outside the spa town of Harrogate, on
the edge of the Yorkshire Dales. In its heyday it hosted
endless high-society soirées, one of which saw the first
meeting of Edward VIII and Mrs Wallis Simpson. Today it is an
historic hotel with a leisure complex, including a 20 metre
pool, a cabaret room, bar, coffee shop, library and games room
with snooker tables. It also boasts excellent outdoor
facilities with bowling and putting greens.
