Donegal is Ireland's most northerly county and one
of its largest and most beautiful. It has some of the country's
highest mountains and a long dramatic coastline, stretching
from the Foyle estuary in the north to Donegal Bay in the
south. Its great natural beauty has long attracted
holidaymakers from this side of the border, as of course has
its proximity, just a two hour drive from Belfast. There is
enough to see and do to fill a week and it's close enough for
short weekend breaks - we can be there in time for lunch and we
don't have to leave until the afternoon on the last day of any
tour.
The twin towns of Ballybofey and Stranorlar lie just over
the border. Their central location allows easy access to any
part of the county - from Malin Head in the north to Bloody
Foreland and Dungloe on the west coast, and even
Glencolumbkille and Killybegs in the south west. It is here
then, at the family run Kee's Hotel, that we base a variety of
Donegal holidays, ranging from Cabaret & Carvery
weekend breaks in winter (featuring their new Saturday night
cabaret and famous Sunday carvery lunch), traditional
Donegal Sightseeing Tours in spring and summer and
Festive Tours at Easter, Christmas and
New Year.
Kee's Hotel has a renowned restaurant serving locally
sourced food, a friendly bar with local trade and plenty of
craic, a lounge area, leisure complex with swimming pool, and
an extensive garden and terrace. All 53 bedrooms are of course
en-suite and fully equipped. Entertainment is provided each
evening in the hotel after dinner.
