Edinburgh's dramatic castle provides a spectacular back-drop for the world famous Tattoo, which this year, 2010, celebrates 60 years of massed pipes and drums and marching military bands.

It promises to be bigger and better than ever, with a truly international flavour, including, among others, South Africa's Transvaal Scottish, the South Australian Pipes and Drums, South Carolina's Citadel Band and, from closer to home, Imps Motorcycle Display Team, from London's Docklands and the prestigious Military Band of the Coldstream Guards.

Both our week-end and mid-week tours are based in the 4 star Dunblane Double-Tree by Hilton Hotel (formerly Dunblane Hydro, before its multi-million pound up-grade).

Our week-end tour combines tickets (for the last night of the Tattoo) with a full day free in Edinburgh, while our mid-week tour, at the beginning of August, adds a memorable trip to the home of the last surviving private army in Europe at Blair Castle, a visit, around lunch time to the House of Bruar Highland shopping experience and an afternoon in the Highland resort town of Pitlochry.
