Elegant buildings and beautiful gardens distinguish Southport from many other English seaside towns. Lord Street, a tree-lined boulevard flanked by shops and flower beds runs parallel to the Promenade and together they form the heart of the resort.

Our hotel, the Royal Clifton occupies a prime location where the Promenade meets the Esplanade on the seafront, just one street away from Lord Street. Its location and facilities, including a pool, make it a great place from which to enjoy everything that the resort has to offer. It is also a great base from which to explore this part of the North of England with visits to the vibrant city of Liverpool (20 miles away) which we do on all tours, and historic Chester, a destination on the longer 5-day trips.
